PURPOSE:
Participate at and support the order management and engineering for turbine and auxiliary system design with specialist expertise. Be a role model for professional engineering work practice. Review technical aspects and develop innovative solutions. Take the technical lead role during design reviews. Support the supplier qualification and material substitution process with product and application knowledge.
Be the key technical contact for customers and design institutes, network in the Chinese expert community and represent the company’s interests in Chinese standardization committees.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Mechanical engineer;
10 years minimum experience in turbine and auxiliary system design;
Experience in dealing with design institutes and customer engineers
Good knowledge of English both written and oral.
SPECIFICE KNOWLEDGE:
Turbine design principles and materials, Chinese and international design codes
Thermodynamic and mechanical design of turbines;
Auxiliary system design (coolers, hydrogen systems, seal oil systems etc;
Knowledge of the Chinese expert community and standardization committees.
BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING:
Chinese power generation market understanding.
